Hicksville Man Seen Carrying A Butcher Knife Arrested After 2 Robberies: Police

The man carried a butcher knife, police say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Hicksville man was arrested on Wednesday after multiple robberies, according to police.

Nassau County police said the arrest occurred at 6 a.m. after two previous robberies, during which a man was reportedly carrying a brown-handled butcher knife, police said.

One robbery occurred at Bolla Mart on Old Country Road in Hicksville on Sep. 22, and the other robbery occurred at A&N Grocery on Levittown Parkway in Hicksville on Nov. 20, police said.

According to police, officers initiated a search warrant, which resulted in 50-year-old Bryan McMenamin being placed under arrest.

McMenamin was charged with first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree menacing, second degree criminal mischief, and first-degree robbery, police said.
