Long Island Nets Coming To Hicksville For Basketball Clinic

Here's how you can attend.

HICKSVILLE, NY — The Long Island Nets are coming to Hicksville — and they're offering kids free tips.

The Town of Oyster Bay and the Nets basketball team will host the free clinic and an associated health seminar Sunday at the Hicksville Athletic Center at 167 Broadway. The clinic and seminar, to run from noon to 2 p.m., will be hosted in partnership with the Nassau County Police Activity League.

"This free Long Island Nets Basketball Clinic and Health Seminar is a great opportunity for children to learn about the sport of basketball from some of the area's finest coaches and players, as well as learn about such important issues as concussion awareness," Saladino said in a news release.

The clinic and seminar is designed to teach kids basketball fundamentals in a structured setting, as well as educate them about important health issues, such as the dangers of vaping and concussions. Attendees will receive a complementary ticket to a future Long Island Nets game.
