New Schools Superintendent Appointed In Hicksville
Dr. Theodore Fulton fills the void left by Marianne Litzman's retirement after 35 years in the district.

HICKSVILLE, NY — The Hicksville School District has named Dr. Theodore (Ted) Fulton as its new superintendent of schools.
He succeeds Marianne Litzman, who is retiring after 35 years in Hicksville.
Fulton joins Hicksville after serving in the Bayport-Blue Point School District, where he has been assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.

Hicksville Board of Education President Brenda Judson said, "Throughout our interviews, Ted continually impressed the board with his energy, thoughtfulness, and past success in bringing communities together."
Fulton also held leadership posts for several organizations, including as past president of the New York State Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and current president of the Long Island Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

"I look forward to continuing the traditions of excellence and opportunity in the Hicksville School district and will work tirelessly to serve our learning community," Fulton said.
His professional experiences include serving as a social studies teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal in both Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Fulton is officially on the job as of July 1.
