2 NYPD Officers, 1 Just Married, Killed In Maserati Crash
One of the men got married a few hours before the crash Sunday night.

UPDATED Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.: Two off-duty NYPD officers from Long Island, including one who was married earlier in the day, were killed in a crash in the Catskills Sunday night.
According to State Police, Michael Colangelo, 31, of Huntington Station, was driving a 2018 Maserati at a high rate of speed on Oliveria Road in Big Indian when the vehicle left the road, struck a large tree and overturned at 11:23 p.m.
Martinez and front seat passenger John M. Martinez, 39, of Hauppauge, were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither man was wearing his seat belt, police say.

Police originally reported that Martinez was driving the Maserati, but an investigation revealed the two men switched positions at some point during the trip.
A third person in the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Martinez was assigned to the 84th Precinct Detective Squad and Colangelo was assigned to the Canine Unit, according to the NYPD.
Martinez was married earlier in the day at the Full Moon Resort about a mile away from where the crash occurred, according to the Daily News.
The crash is under investigation by State Police.
