Ambulance Crew Helps Deliver Baby Boy At Huntington Home

A woman was unable to make it to the hospital before giving birth on Monday morning.

Huntington Community First Aid Squad members helped deliver a baby boy at a Huntington home on Monday morning.

According to the HCFAS, a woman in labor at a McKay Road home was experiencing rapid contractions and was unable to make it to the hospital before giving birth.

The HCFAS responded to the scene at 11:26 a.m., just 3 minutes after receiving a call, and realized the baby’s birth was imminent.

The ambulance crew positioned the mother and helped deliver the baby at 11:38 a.m.

The mother and son were transported to Huntington Hospital following the impromptu home birth.
