Art Guild Announces Photography Exhibit
The juried competition and exhibition takes place Jan. 31-March 1 at Elderfields Preserve on Port Washington Blvd.

The Art Guild continues its year-long theme of “home” in planning their photography exhibit “Real [Surreal] Estate, Images of Home,” a juried competition and exhibition.
The open call show will feature a wide range of photographic styles and interpretations of “home” from photographers across Long Island.
The exhibit will be on view at The Art Guild’s home, Elderfields Preserve, 200 Port Washington Blvd., in Manhasset, from Saturday Jan. 31 through Sunday March 1, 2015. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. or by appointment.

The juror for this show os Marc Josloff, who earned his B.A. and Masters Degrees at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He is both a photographer and a painter and brings a fine-art perspective to his photography. His photographs have been widely exhibited and he has been awarded best in show, best in color and best in black and white in numerous juried exhibitions.
As a painter, Josloff was cited as one of “11 Artists to Watch,” in the 2004 edition of Watercolor Magic magazine. Josloff is president of the Long Island Center of Photography.
Classes for children and adults resume in 2015, as well as two-day workshops in colored pencil and pastel. An exhibit featuring landscapes, “Home on The Range,” is planned for March. Check The Art Guild’s website and Facebook page throughout the year for classes, exhibitions, lectures, volunteer opportunities and the chance to set up an easel on the grounds and paint.
