Car Strikes Tree, Overturns In Huntington

A driver was hospitalized after their vehicle struck a tree and overturned in Huntington on Tuesday morning, fire officials say.

According to the Greenlawn Fire Department, the vehicle was on Cuba Hill Road, near Elbomar Drive and Elwood Park, when it veered off the road, hit an embankment, struck a tree and overturned back into the roadway at approximately 1:02 a.m.

The driver was able to self-extricate themself from the care before firefighters arrived to the scene. The driver was then taken to Huntington Hospital by EMS crews.
