Cops: Barber Shop Burglary, Checking Account Theft
Here are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area, according to Suffolk County Police.
Friday, Oct. 20
At 8:30 a.m., police reported a burglary in which someone entered a Derby Avenue location in Greenlawn through a window and stole jewelry.

At 10 a.m., police reported grand larceny in which someone stole cash from a checking account on Alpine Way in South Huntington.
At 7 p.m., someone burglarized Oscar and Jack’s Barber Shop by pushing in the AC unit to enter the store and then stole money. The barber shop is located on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington.
