Firefighters Battle Apartment, Vacant House Fires In Huntington Station
The fires occurred this week.

Huntington Manor Firefighters battled blazes inside an apartment and a vacant house in Huntington Station this week.
Firefighters first responded to a fire on the top floor of 270 Lowndes Ave. on Tuesday at 1:17 p.m. They were able to quickly knock down the blaze, containing the damage to one apartment.
Firefighters next responded to a fire at a vacant building on Teed Street and Ark Place at 4 a.m. on Thursday.

There were no injuries in either fire.
The Huntington Manor Fire Department on Facebook said, "We would like to thank Huntington, Melville, and Greenlawn Fire Departments, Huntington Community First Aid Squad and Town Fire Coordinators for their assistance at both fires. Town of Huntington Fire Marshalls and Suffolk County Police Arson Squad are determining the causes of both fires."
