Harborfields School Among Top Elementary Schools In NY: Niche 2018

An elementary school in the Harborfields Central School District is among 36 Long Island schools that made Niche.com's list of the state's top 100 elementary schools in 2018.

Eight schools in New York’s top 10 are all from Nassau County. Just four schools in Suffolk County made the list. Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School in the Harborfields Central School District made the cut at No. 95.

The school was ranked No. 81 in 2017 and No. 73 in 2016.

Robert Seaman Elementary School in the Jericho UFSD was ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 1 in New York. In fact, the top 3 elementary schools in New York all belong in the same school district. The top Suffolk County school on the list was Amagansett School in the Amagansett UFSD at No. 47.

The nation’s top elementary school was found to be Pine View School in Sarasota, Florida.

Fewer Long Island schools made the state rankings in 2018. Fifty elementary schools from Long Island made the rankings in 2017.
