Huntington 2013 Boys Lacrosse Preview
Veteran coach, All-County goalie give Blue Devils playoff aspirations.
Huntington High School has a great tradition in boys lacrosse and an iconic coach in Paul McDermott.
Last year ended abruptly in the first round of the Suffolk Class B playoffs after beating eventual champ Sayville in the regular season finale. Can the Blue Devils do better than 2012’s 10-6 mark?
Huntington is ranked preseason No. 8 in Suffolk Division II, but defense and goalie play can carry the Blue Devils far, according to McDermott.

Senior All-Suffolk goalie Tyler Greenhill (185 saves), a Rutgers signee, is an anchor. Furman-bound senior midfield Patrick Reilly (24 goals) and Trinity-bound senior attack Chris Schoen (15 goals) power the offense. Look for junior midfied Ben Kocis and senior defense Connor McCartney to play key roles.
