Huntington Arts Council Hosts 'Nightmare On Main Street' Student Art Exhibition
Students in grades 6-12 will show their spooky, imaginative works.
HUNTINGTON, N.Y. — The Huntington Arts Council will host the opening reception for Nightmare on Main Street, a student art exhibition juried by New York-based multidisciplinary artist Isabella Fernanda, on Friday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Main Street Gallery, 213 Main St., Huntington.
The exhibition features artwork by students in grades 6-12, inspired by Fernanda's theme, "What's your scary story?" Young artists were encouraged to use narrative art to explore fear, imagination, and self-expression through various mediums.
"Each and every one of you should be proud of yourselves," Fernanda said. "The art of a good scare comes from how we craft our stories. Whether you danced with your shadow or set fires to your fears, all of your scary stories were heard."
