Huntington Man Arrested After Causing Scene At Winery: Cops

After being denied service due to their level of intoxication, a group began knocking over wine barrels and screaming obscenities, cops say.

PECONIC, NY — Two men were arrested Sunday after they were denied service at a North Fork winery due to their level of intoxication and became "disruptive," shoving officers, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Nicholas D'Agostino, 22, of Syosset, and Tristan Alfano, 22, of Huntington, were arrested on Sunday at 2:29 p.m. at Osprey's Dominion Winery on Main Road in Peconic and charged with obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor.

Authorities were notified of a disturbance at the winery and, upon arrival, officers located a large group that had been denied service because of their level of intoxication, police said.

Once they were advised to leave, they became disruptive, yelling obscenities; some members of the group began knocking over wine barrels and throwing items on the roof of the winery, police said.

After being asked to leave by police, D'Agostino and Alfano shoved police officers, police said. They were arrested, transported to Southold Police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.

According to his attorney, "Mr. D’Agostino vehemently denies all charges against him."
