Huntington Police Blotter: Stolen Check Washed And Rewritten

ALSO: A driver fled the scene after rear-ending another driver, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from March 24 through March 30.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • March 28: Operator leave scene of an accident with property damage on 13th Street in Huntington Station at 8:39 p.m. A woman was rear-ended at the intersection of New York Avenue and East 13th Street, and the driver fled east on 13th Street, police said.
  • March 25: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Park Avenue in Huntington Station at noon. A check that was written was washed and rewritten, police said.
