Huntington Police Blotter: Sunglasses Swiped From Saks Fifth Avenue

A vehicle was stolen after it was left unlocked with the keys inside, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Nov. 14: Giorgi Bazaleli, 34, of Brooklyn, stole multiple pairs of sunglasses from Saks Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station on Aug. 22, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000.

Incidents

  • Nov. 14: Grand larceny (fourth-degree: motor vehicle) was reported on 13th Street in Huntington Station at 2:27 a.m. A vehicle was stolen at 9 p.m. Nov 13, police said. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police said. The vehicle was found parked and unoccupied in the rear Huntington LIRR station commuter parking lot, police said. The vehicle was returned, police said.
