HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Fans of White Castle— whether for nostalgia's sake or a cult-like love of the fast food chain's sliders—will be disappointed to see another Long Island location close. The White Castle on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station closed this week after over 20 years of operation.

A sign outside the fast food drive-through stated "location permanently closed" and directed patrons to the nearest White Castles in Farmingdale, Massapequa and Commack. Other White Castle locations that have closed on Long Island in recent years include ones in Brentwood and Centereach.

The fast food chain is one of the oldest, founded almost 100 years ago. There are also Long Island White Castles in Deer Park, Lynbrook and West Hempstead.
