Huntington Station Woman Faces Animal Cruelty Charges

The woman allowed her dog to be brutally attacked by other dogs, the SPCA says.

A Huntington Station woman is accused of allowing her dog to be brutally attacked by other dogs, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.

Pamela Caruso, 59, was charged with animal cruelty, a misdemeanor, on Sunday, Nov. 19

An investigation revealed she failed to provide a safe housing enviornment for her dog, causing the dog to be repeatedly and brutally attacked by other dogs, the SPCA says.

She will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on Jan. 29, 2018.

The misdemeanor offense could lead to up to a $1,000 fine and/or up to one year in prison, the SPCA says.
