Long Island Woman Stole Identities To Pay For Cosmetic Surgery: Police
She opened a line of credit using customers' personal information kept by her former employer, police say.

A Huntington Station woman was arrested Tuesday morning for using using other people's identities kept by her former employer to spend $15,000 on cosmetic surgery, police say.
According to authorities, Andrea Echevarria, 33, stole the personal identifying information of three people from customer records kept by Deer Park PTDC, a physical therapy office located at 2103 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park. Echevarria used the personal information to open a line of credit for cosmetic surgery that totaled $15,000, police say.
Following a nine-month investigation by detectives and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, Echevarria was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with two counts of first-degree identity theft and second-degree identity theft. She will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
