Legal Sea Foods in Huntington Station Closes
The popular eatery shuts its doors Sunday.
Legal Sea Foods, the popular dining destination in Huntington Station, closed its Walt Whitman Shops location Sunday.
The restaurant closed after “a long-standing lease expired,” a spokeswoman said.
The closing of the Huntington Station Legal Sea Foods, which once had a location in Roosevelt Field, means the chain currently has no presence in New York, according to the company’s website.

No word yet on whether the chain will open another location on Long Island, or New York.
The nearest Legal Sea Foods is in New Jersey, with sites at the Paramus - Garden State Plaza and The Short Hills Mall.

In February 2014, a restaurant manager died and more than two dozen others were hospitalized following a carbon monoxide poisoning incident at the eatery’s Huntington Station location.
