Suffolk Police Incidents: Head Punch, Cash Grab

Incidents reported in the second precinct from March 13-18.

The following incidents were taken from the Suffolk Police second precinct crime blotter over the past week and a half.

  • A man was punched in the head on Park Avenue in Huntington on March 15.
  • While in a car on eastbound Pulaski Road in Huntington, two men pulled up alongside a man, yelled racial obscenities, and threw a water bottle at him.
  • While at Mcdonald's on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood, an unknown man stole a wallet from someone while they were on line ordering a meal.
  • An alarm was set off after a rear bedroom window was broken on Kenneth Avenue in Elwood. The master bedroom was ransacked, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
  • Someone grabbed a man while walking northbound on New York Avenue in Huntington Station. The subject put a hand under his shirt and told him to give money, then fled with the cash.
  • Someone broke a passenger side window and stole a shoulder bag, a wallet and cash out of a 2010 Land Rover in a Huntington municipal parking lot.
