Suffolk Police Incidents: More Muggings; Scam Call

Second precinct incidents reported between April 5-11.

The following incidents were reported in the Suffolk Police second precinct between April 5-11.

  • A man was mugged in Huntington Station by a group of men. The men took his gold chain and hit him on the head. He was treated at Huntington Hospital for his injuries. No arrest made.
  • A man was mugged in Huntington Station. His iPhone, cash, keys, and ring were taken. He suffered injuries to his face and head. No arrest made.
  • A man threw a bottle at a woman's head in Huntington Station following a verbal dispute. The woman suffered a cut to her head and was transported to Huntington Hospital for treatment. No arrest made.
  • A Huntington Station woman sent cash to Puerto Rico after receiving a scam phone call that her brother had been in an accident.
  • A 16 year old boy was assaulted by another student at Northport High School. No arrest made.
  • Someone entered through an open garage door of a Huntington home and took cash.
  • Someone posted a picture of an Elwood woman online which caused her alarm.
  • A Huntington Station woman reported a man to police for hugging her and saying something inappropriate. The man denied it. No arrest made.
  • An unknown person sent threatening text messages to a Huntington woman.
  • Someone in a pickup truck hit another car in Huntington Station and fled the scene.
  • A welding machine was stolen from a Huntington Station home.
