Suffolk Police to Hold Gun Buy Back

Suffolk Police are holding a gun buyback event this Saturday in an effort to get guns off the streets.

The event will be held at Prayer Tabernacle Church on Great Neck Road in Amityville between 12 and 3 p.m.

Police are offering $100 cash for unregistered handguns and $300 cash for assault weapons. Rifles and shot guns are not eligible.

Weapons must be unloaded and placed in a box or bag.
