Tow Truck Operator Seriously Injured In Suffolk Crash: Police
He was airlifted for treatment, police say.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A tow truck driver was seriously injured in a Huntington Station crash Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place at 3:34 p.m. An 18-year-old from Huntington Station was driving a 2009 Honda Civic southbound on 9th Avenue when his vehicle struck a tow truck operator hooking up a disabled vehicle to a tow truck owned by Auto Houndz, which was parked on the shoulder in front of 65 9th Avenue, police said.
The tow truck operator, Justine Ballesteros, 29, of Huntington Station, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Honda Civic was not injured; the Honda was impounded for a safety check, police said.

No charges were filed in the crash, police said.
