Voter's Guide: Harborfields 2018-19 School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

Those who reside within the area of Harborfields schools will vote on the district's $86,086,696 proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday, May 15.

The proposal calls for a 2.27 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 2.19 percent, which is within the tax levy cap.

Three candidates are running unopposed for three seats on the Harborfields Board of Education. They are incumbent Suzie Lustig, Steven Engelmann and Joseph C. Savaglio, according to Newsday.

Polls will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Oldfield Middle School auditorium.
