Woman Used Counterfeit Money At Whitman Shops: Police

She used the fake bills to buy two jackets, a shirt and perfume, police say.

Police are looking to identify the woman who used counterfeit money at a Huntington Station department store last month.

According to authorities, the woman used four counterfeit $100 bills to pay for two jackets, a shirt and perfume, valued at more than $300, at Lord & Taylor, located at 158 Walt Whitman Road, on Friday, Oct. 13 at 6:24 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
