LI Weather: Plenty of Rain, Powerful Wind Gusts On The Way
See what to expect with storms on the way.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Long Island with rain and gusty winds on the way, the National Weather Service says.
A cold front will slowly approach from the west Tuesday and tropical moisture streaming in from the south well in advance of the front will result in some afternoon showers, some of which could be moderate to locally heavy.
A more widespread heavy rainfall is expected Tuesday night as the front moves across, as well as gusty south winds. Up to three inches of rain could fall on the island and minor flooding is possible. There's also a chance of thunderstorms late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
