The Milleridge Inn in Jericho held a “LIRR Sucks Party” on May 11, offering a free drink to all Long Island Rail Road commuters. Why? Because these train riders have been through enough. They deserve a drink. At Milleridge Inn, located at 585 North Broadway, anyone with a train ticket will received a free drink at the bar.
Long Island College Lacrosse Team Enters To Trump Speech
The Adelphi University men's lacrosse team is making waves this week, but not for its record. A video surfaced online on May 10 showing the team entering the field to a snippet of a speech by President Donald Trump. In the few hours it has been live, it has been viewed more than 636,000 times and received more than 5,500 comments.
Long Island Pizzeria Employee Sold Cocaine: Police
An employee at a Long Island pizzeria is accused of selling cocaine out of the business, police said. The Suffolk County Police Department executed a search warrant on May 9 at a home located in the unit block of Cedar Drive in Bay Shore that resulted in the seizure of significant amounts of drugs, weapons, cash and other paraphernalia, police said. Placido Buscemi, 54, who lives at the home, was arrested at the site of his employer, Mama Mia's Pizzeria.
Two Winning Lottery Tickets Sold In Suffolk County
The New York Lottery has announced that two top-prize tickets for the Take 5 drawing were sold in Suffolk County. The tickets, worth $25,523 each, were sold in Ronkonkoma and Farmingville. A third top-prize winner for the same drawing was sold near Rochester.
A Cold Spring Harbor man stole more than $220,000 in cash payments from students for nearly four years while working at a media company, police announced May 11. According to authorities, Peter Burke, 53, accepted and kept cash payments from students that were meant for the Connecticut School of Broadcasting while working as an employee of The Robinson Media Group.
