Man Hit 5-Year-Old Son After Forcing Way Into Queens Home: NYPD

The man forced himself into the home of his son and stepson, where an order of protection exists against him, police said.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS -- The NYPD is searching for a man who hit his five-year-old son in the face and shoved his 18-year-old stepson after forcing his way into their home, police told Patch.

Alix Sanchez, 31, allegedly forced his way into the boys' mother's home in Jackson Heights, where a valid order of protection exists against him, on Nov. 30 at around 8 p.m. police said. Once inside the home, the man pushed his stepson to the floor and slapped his son in the face.

Sanchez then allegedly fled the home, located between 94th Street and 37th Avenue, in an unknown direction, police said. His 5-year-old son was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital for evaluation.

It is unclear what prompted the incident or why the family had originally filed an order of protection against Sanchez, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Officials described Sanchez as having brown eyes and hair, standing at 5'7" and weighing around 190 pounds.
