City Worker Arrested For Dunkin' Donuts Beatdown In Jamaica: NYPD

The off-duty Department of Corrections employee allegedly shoved a woman to the floor and repeatedly punched her in the face, police say.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- A city employee was arrested for allegedly beating up a woman after the two got into a shouting match inside a Queens Dunkin' Donuts.

The alleged beatdown began on Monday evening when Talisha Brown, a 35-year-old off-duty Department of Corrections employee, got into an argument with a 21-year-old woman in a Jamaica Dunkin' Donuts at 144-01 Liberty Ave., police told Patch. The verbal dispute exploded when Brown allegedly shoved the woman to the ground, pulled her hair and punched her repeatedly in the eye while pinning her down, cops said.

The woman was treated at Jamaica Hospital for injuries to her left eye, an NYPD spokesman said. Police said the two were strangers, and it was unclear what they had been fighting about.
