Men Wanted For String Of Stabbings, Robberies In Jamaica: NYPD

The three suspects are believed to be behind three robbery attempts turned stabbings between November and December, police say.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- Police believe the same group of men are responsible for stabbing three people within a month in a string of armed robberies in Jamaica.

The NYPD is searching for three men whose description meets the criteria for the three similar armed robberies that happened between late November and early December, police told Patch. In each incident, which all happened within less than a half mile radius, what started out as demands for a victim's property ended in stabbings that left them hospitalized, police said.

The three suspects first struck on Nov. 19 at around 4:45 a.m., pulling a knife on a 28-year-old man in front of 90-39 148th St. and demanding his property, cops said. One of the suspects sliced the man's face before the men took roughly $280 worth of belongings, including his cell phone, wallet, headphones and backpack, police said. The three fled in an unknown direction and the man was treated at a nearby hospital.

In the next incident just down the road at 148-06 Ave., the three men approached a 27-year-old man on Nov. 28 at 1:20 a.m. and demanded his property at knife-point, police said. When they didn't get anything, one of the suspects stabbed the man about his body and the three fled in an unknown direction. The man was sent to a nearby hospital for his bleeding and puncture wounds but is now in stable condition, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Police believe the three suspects last struck at 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 10, less than a half mile down the road near Hillside Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard. The three demanded a 46-year-old man's money and stabbed him in the stomach before fleeing the scene empty-handed, authorities said. The man was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
