Update: Man Charged In Queens Stabbing, Hit-And-Run

The Queens man, who allegedly killed one person and injured five others, faces life in prison if convicted.

SOUTH OZONE PARK, QUEENS -- A man could face up to life behind bars for allegedly killing one person and injuring six others in a parking dispute gone awry outside a Queens hookah bar.

Adrian Harry, 22, of Arvene, awaits arraignment on charges including murder and assault for allegedly stabbing two people and then intentionally driving his While Hyundai Sedan into the ensuing crowd outside XS Hookah Lounge in Ozone just before dawn on Sunday, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Harry allegedly struck six people, including one of the stabbing victims, when he drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk at 128th Street, Patch previously reported. He allegedly fled the scene after the incident, police said.

Richardo "Moses" Chattergoon, 23, died on scene after being struck by the car, with injuries indicating he had been dragged by the vehicle, according to the medical examiner's office. Two others are in critical condition: One in a medically induced coma for bleeding in the brain and the other for a fractured pelvis and frontal lobe head bleeding that requires surgery, according to the charges. Three others were treated in a nearby Queens hospital for minor injuries - including bruising, swelling and a broken nose.

“What allegedly began as a minor tapping of fenders turned into a deadly pre-dawn horror show that left a young man dead and others seriously injured," Brown said. "The crimes alleged here are beyond senseless and the defendant now faces a lengthy term of incarceration if convicted.”

According to the charges, Harry allegedly tapped the bumper of a white BMW parked behind him at around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 3 while parking his own 2016 Hyundai Sonata on Liberty Avenue near 127 Street. Although Harry allegedly didn't damage the BMW's bumper, the two men inside got out of the vehicle and confronted him. During the argument, Harry allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed one man in the torso and the other in the abdomen, authorities said.

As several people gathered to help the stabbed men, video surveillance from the scene allegedly shows Harry getting back into his vehicle and driving onto the sidewalk through the crowd, according to the charges.

Harry faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree attempted assault, five counts of second-degree assault, six counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Brown said. If convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
