Don't Miss: Harvest Celebration at Kings Park Farmers Market

Kings Park Farmers Market is celebrating Halloween and the near end of the harvest season this Sunday. 

Head down to the Kings Park Farmers Market for its annual Harvest Celebration on Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be Halloween activities for the children, a baking contest and live music. 

Celebrate Halloween at the farmers market with pumpkin painting for kids and pick up last-minute Halloween decor for trick-or-treaters. Enjoy seasonal pumpkin soup over at Papa Pasquale. 

This Sunday will mark Kings Park Farmers Market's third annual Baking Contest. Bakers are limited to a maximum of one entry in each of the following three categories: breads and muffins, pies, and cakes. The baked goods must be made from scratch, no mixes, and use local ingredients such as eggs, fruit and produce when possible. 

All entries will be judged on texture, appearance, creative presentation, flavor, uniqueness and use of locally grown ingredients on a scale of 1 to 5.  A score of 5 is outstanding, representing a high score. 

Those interested in participating should bring their entry to the Manager's Tent by 11 a.m.
