Kings Park Teacher Recognized for Civic Responsibility

Kings Park high school teacher, Kim McGinley has been honored by the VFW with the National Citizenship Education Teacher Award.

McGinley was recognized for her outstanding contributions to promote civic responsibility in the local community.

According to a statement released by the school district, McGinley fosters the development of values and beliefs for special projects, such as assuring that families who have fallen on hard times do not go to bed hungry.

As the Varsity Club Co-Advisor, she helped to galvanize our student body during the holiday season to perform community service, and promote civic responsibility.
