Landing Avenue Bridge Closure, West Nile Virus on Tuesday in Kings Park

Your daily guide to what's happening in Kings Park.


- Summer is the time construction peaks, as Landing Avenue bridge is closed for repairs. Drivers are being redirected onto Edgewood Avenue to take Route 25A north. Leave extra time if you plan on heading to the town pools. 

- Kings Park teens are invited to the Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve in Commack to hang out with friends in a drug-free, alcohol-free atmosphere at Safe Summer Nights, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. 

-Grab the bug spray before heading outside, as Suffolk County Department of Health Services has found mosquitos testing positive for West Nile Virus. Click here to read what steps to take to reduce the amount of mosquitos near your home.
