3 Injured, Including Firefighter, In Blaze At A Popular Bagel Shop
There were two minor civilian injuries and one firefighter was taken to White Plains Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

LARCHMONT, NY — A fire in the basement of a bagel shop popular with commuters, left two people with minor injuries and sent a firefighter to the hospital.
The Village of Larchmont Fire Department says that on Wednesday, shortly after 10 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to Bagels by Sofia, on Chatsworth Ave., after reports of an active basement fire.
The initial alarm was raised by Larchmont Village AC 66A2 members who were at the business.

Engine 35, Tower Ladder 7, and 2221, who were on the scene just two minutes later, found heavy smoke coming from the building, and requested additional crews to the scene, according to the department.
Once firefighters entered the building, they found heavy fire in the basement and a 2nd alarm of fire was called.

The occupants of the building, along with those from the two adjoining buildings, were evacuated. Firefighters then searched to make sure the blaze had not spread. The department says that the fire damage was contained to the basement with smoke damage throughout.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and due to an electrical issue.

There were two minor civilian injuries and one firefighter was taken by ambulance to White Plains Hospital. All units were clear of the scene shortly after 1 p.m., according to the department. There is no word yet on the firefighter's condition. Patch will update here when more information becomes available.
