Perhaps the most impressive trick from illusionist George Wells is seamlessly combining dinner & a show through unique table-side magic.
LARCHMONT, NY — If you think the lobster paella with saffron risotto is a seemingly impossible feat of culinary creativity, just wait until you see this establishment's next trick.
Vintage 1891 Kitchen in Larchmont is featuring magician George Wells on most Fridays to add a mystical dimension to their dining experience. Wells' specialty is close-up magic, which is done within feet and sometimes inches of diners seated at their tables or in the intimate surrounding of the Vintage 1891 lounge area.
"Magic is having its moment with shows like AGT and 'Penn and Teller Fool Us,' but seeing magic in front of your eyes is another case from seeing it on your TV screen," Wells said. He aims to create astonishment and give his spectators a sense of wonder.

Vintage 1891 Kitchen's co-owner, Amy Negri said she loves seeing the expression on her patrons' faces when they experience the magic. "A great meal with magic is a great night out," she explained.
