MAMARONECK, NY — The air quality in the region has dropped to "moderate" and temperatures are expected to rise into the high 80s on Wednesday.

The Village of Mamaroneck is taking steps to provide relief for residents who are without AC or experiencing electrical issues due to any possible brownouts.

Village Hall at the Regatta, located at 123 Mamaroneck Ave., will remain open until 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday as a cooling and relief station for residents in need.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the Sound Shore. Oppressive heat and humidity are expected to build into the area from Thursday, July 27 through Saturday, July 29.
