Broadway Visits Harbor Island With Free Performance Tonight

MAMARONECK, NY — Broadway on the Sound Family Favorites will be bringing the bright lights of Broadway to Lanza Field in Harbor Island Park tonight at 7 p.m.

The family-friendly musical theater celebration will be perfect for audience members of all ages. The event is produced and will be hosted by New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, with Eugene Gwozdz as Musical Director/Accompanist.

Five of Broadway's best vocalists "will illuminate the stage with songs from classic and contemporary musicals based on timeless children's stories and animated films."

There will be musical selections from Frozen, Aladdin, Wicked, The Sound of Music, Annie, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, The King and I, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, The Lion King, Anastasia, Cinderella and more.

Scheduled performers include:

• Nic Rouleau (Book of Mormon, Hello Dolly)
• Teal Wicks (Wicked, The Cher Show, Jekyll & Hyde, Finding Neverland)
• Emily Bautista (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables)
• Jelani Remy (The Lion King, Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations)
• Sara Jean Ford (The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Finian's Rainbow)

No tickets/reservations are needed. Be sure to bring your own drinks, along with a chair or blanket. Food trucks will also be on-site.

Parking will be free at Harbor Island Park after 4:30 p.m. The rain date will be Wednesday, July 27 at 7 p.m.

Broadway on the Sound is presented by the Emelin Theatre, the Mamaroneck Arts Council and the Village of Mamaroneck Parks Department. Sponsors for the event are Con Edison Arts Al Fresco, Arts Westchester, WP Hospital and M&T Bank.
