Mamaroneck, NY – This holiday season, the Emelin Theatre welcomes back Ballet des Amériques’ Nutcracker Dream, a 90-minute adaptation of the beloved holiday classic. With stunning new choreography, vibrant costumes, and a multicultural cast, this family-friendly production offers a fresh take on a treasured tradition.

Directed by French-American choreographer Carole Alexis, Nutcracker Dream draws on Alexandre Dumas’ A Story of a Nutcracker. Alexis infuses her unique vision and multicultural heritage into the production, creating an inclusive experience that resonates with diverse audiences.

“Carole’s adaptation speaks to all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds,” says Mark Ettenger, Emelin Theatre Board President. “Ticket prices are set at levels that are accessible, affordable, and inclusive, all central to the Emelin’s mission.”

The production features outstanding performances by professional dancers, including rising star Johnathon Hart as the Cavalier and Sugar Plum soloist Isodale Alexis. Seventeen-year-old Rosella Dunkerley, a local talent and Ballet des Amériques Conservatory student, performs multiple roles, joined by young dancers from Westchester County in charming children’s roles.
