Peter was an entrepreneur at heart, always looking for new and exciting business opportunities rather than settling on any one business or profession. His first venture was owning and operating a successful restaurant, PK’s Pub in Larchmont, NY. Peter then owned and operated a phone card business on the 102nd floor observatory of the Empire State Building. After relocating to Rhode Island to be closer to his daughter and son-in-law and his grandchildren, he worked in health insurance sales for many years.

Despite being a very private person, Peter had many cherished friendships, until a struggle with dementia caused him to withdraw socially and lose contact with many of those closest to him.

Once Peter moved to Brightview Commons, however, he began to participate in activities and form new relationships that brought him joy in his final months. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him through his various challenges and successes.

Peter is survived by his daughter, Claire Kane Hall and her husband James; his grandchildren, Kane, Taylor and Brady; and his sisters, Kathleen Kane-Molito and Joan Coughlin. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Evarista Kane, and his brothers, Michael and Joseph Kane. A private ceremony will be held for Peter with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations to www.americanbrainfoundation.or...
