MAMARONECK, NY — Your chance to see the most famous robotic music group since the Chuck E. Cheese band "in person" is here.

The P.A.M. (Partially Artificial Musicians) Band will be performing an installation art concert at St. John's Lutheran Church this Saturday, at 8 p.m. The fully automated robotic band was created by Kurt Coble, a musician and Mamaroneck resident.

While the mechanized concert will be a bit of futuristic fun, Koble, a longtime Broadway orchestra musician who has been a part of smash hits, including The Phantom of the Opera, told LMC Media that the unique programmable band serves a very serious purpose as well.

"The focus of my work the last couple of years has been using these remote control instruments in the realm of people with disabilities," Coble told LMC. "By using various interfaces, a person with some physical issue could also control one of these instruments, allowing them to participate in the music-making experience in a meaningful way."

Set to an original score created by Coble, the P.A.M. Band will perform behind a projection of the 1922 German vampire silent film, "Nosferatu," in conjunction with the 100-year anniversary of the film.

The event will be free and open to the public. The performance is open to all ages, but the classic horror film might be a bit scary for small children under five years old. A $10 suggested donation will benefit the Lutheran aid to Ukraine.

St. John's Lutheran Church is located at 122 Fenimore Rd. in Mamaroneck.
