Town Of Mamaroneck Declares State Of Emergency
It joins neighbors New Rochelle and Mount Vernon where flooding is widespread.

MAMARONECK, NY — Mamaroneck town officials have declared a state of emergency due to widespread flooding, Town Supervisor Jaine Elkind Eney announced.
The Town has opened its Emergency Operations Center. Heavy rain has closed many local roads. Do not try to pass through the closed roads. Town staff and emergency personnel are out all over Town trying to ensure public safety. Please stay off the roads until the emergency has subsided.
Nearby, Mount Vernon City Hall has closed due to all the flooding and New Rochelle has also declared a state of emergency.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency for the Hudson Valley, New York City and part of Long Island.
