Woman, 40, Killed In 2-Car DWI Crash In Nassau: Police

BETHPAGE, NY — One person was killed in a DWI crash late Tuesday in Bethpage, police said.

Joseph Curto, 54, of Seaford, was driving a 2013 Honda Pilot on Seamans Neck Road, when he had a head-on collision with a 2008 Honda Accord, authorities said.

The 40-year-old female driver of the Honda died at the scene, police said. Curto was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

An investigation revealed that he was intoxicated at the time of the crash; he was placed under arrest and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

Curto will be arraigned when medically practical, police said.
