2nd Driver Dies After Last Week's Head-On DWI Collision: Police

BETHPAGE, NY — A second driver has died from a head-on crash last week in Bethpage, police said.

Joseph Curto, 54, of Seaford, who had been in critical condition since the July 15 collision, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, police said.

Curto was intoxicated, and police were planning to charge him with DWI, police said.

A 40-year-old woman, Cindy Saborio, of Wantagh, died at the scene from the impact, authorities said. She was driving southbound on Seamans Neck Road, while Curto was traveling north in a Honda Pilot, police said.
