2nd Person Charged With Fatal Shooting Outside Nassau Hotel: Police

BETHPAGE, NY — A second person has been extradited from Pennsylvania to Nassau County in connection to a fatal shooting last month at the Extended Stay Hotel in Bethpage, police said.

Sgroilin Santana, 22, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania is charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a firearm and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Santana was expected to be arraigned on Friday.

On the evening of April 2, a man was discovered with gunshots in front the hotel on South Oyster Bay Road. The victim, Jorge Vazquez, 35, of Tampa, Florida, died at the scene, police said.

Jaslynn Nevaeh Garcia, 19, extradited from Pennsylvania to Nassau County last week.

She was charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a firearm and second-degree
criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Garcia was arraigned on May 9.
