3 Sold Alcohol, Tobacco To Minors In Undercover Operation: Nassau PD
Police say underage agents purchased the products from three stores, leading to all three clerks getting arrested.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Three clerks of local stores were all cited for selling alcohol and tobacco products to minors in an undercover operation, Nassau County police said.
Underage agents were part of an "Project 21" initiative in the county on Jan. 12. The underage agents attempted to purchase alcohol and tobacco from multiple stores.
During the initiative, three people were arrested, police said.

Muhammad Sajid, 52, of East Meadow, sold alcohol and tobacco products to a minor at Ali Baba, located at 756 Main St. in Farmingdale, police said. He is charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage and second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
Keven Carcamo, 22, of West Hempstead, sold tobacco products to a minor at Knockout 1 Smoke Shop, located at 630 Wantagh Ave. in Levittown, police said. He is charged with second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, sale of age-restricted products to a minor and violation of public health law.

Sanjaykumar Patal, 41, of Queens Village, sold alcohol and tobacco products to a minor at Jelly Bean Convenience, located at 3103 North Jerusalem Road in Levittown, police said. He is charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, first- and second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and sale of age-restricted products to a minor.
All three men were issued appearance tickets and are due back in court on Feb. 2.
