Car Crashes Into Levittown Home

Driver reportedly loses control and plows through Abbey Lane house.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, a driver allegedly lost control of his car and crashed into a home on Abbey Lane.

Family members who were home at the time of the incident were not injured. According to witnesses at the scene, the driver and two occupants refused medical attention at the accident scene. The driver is not a resident of the home, according to Levittown Fire Department First Deputy Chief Chris Behrens.

The Hempstead Town Building Department was called in to inspect the damage, however it is unknown if the home was deemed safe. The Nassau County Police Department and Levittown Fire Department also responded to the scene.
