Crimes Nearby: Car Stolen, Car Keyed Outside Old Country Buffet

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

East Meadow

    •    An unknown suspect broke the window of a vehicle that was parked in the Aura Nightclub parking lot sometime between Feb. 23 and Feb. 24. Items were also taken from the car.

    •    On Feb. 24, items were removed from a car parked in the East Meadow Plaza parking lot. The window was also damaged.

Levittown

    •    Coins were stolen from a car on Twig Lane on Feb. 21.

    •    A briefcase was stolen from a car outside Fortune Wheel Restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike on Feb. 23.

    •    Cash was stolen on Glazer Lane in Levittown on Feb. 23.

    •    A pocketbook was stolen from a car outside Levittown Lanes and a credit card was later used at a gas station on Feb. 23.

    •     A car registration and insurance cards were stolen from a vehicle outside Miller's Ale House on Hempstead Turnpike on Feb. 24. 

    •    A GPS and cash was stolen was a car on Loring Road in Levittown on Feb. 24.

    •    A car was keyed and its tires were slashed outside Old Country Buffet on Hempstead Turnpike on Feb. 26.

Wantagh

    •    Personal property was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Capital One Bank on 3230 Sunrise Highway in Wantagh on Feb. 19.

    •    Boxes that were being delivered by UPS to Brands Cycles & Fitness in Wantagh were stolen on Feb. 21.

    •    A man reported that the vehicle he parked in the northwest parking lot of the Jones Beach Hotel on 3275 Byron St. in Wantagh was missing when he returned to it on Feb. 22.

Hicksville

- A briefcase and medications was stolen from a car at the Broadway Mall on Feb. 19.

- A camera and a watch was stolen from a car on Bobwhite Ln. in Hicksville on Feb. 25.

- A headlight was damaged on a car at the Broadwall Mall on Feb. 25.

- A car was stolen on Foran Pl. on Feb. 24.
