Crimes Nearby: Exxon Robbed, FBI Impersonation

A look at recent crime in the Levittown area.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Levittown

  • A window was broken on a car on Hempstead Tpke. in Levittown on March 23.
  • Tires were slashed on a car on Stonecutter Road in Levittown on March 24.
  • A pocketbook was stolen from a car at Stop and Shop on Hempstead Turnpike on March 25.
  • Bathing suits were stolen from Target on Hempstead Turnpike on March 26.
  • A car parked on Squirrel Lane was found fully covered in colored Post-it notes on Marh 28. For more on this story, click here.
  • The Exxon station at 3285 Hempstead Turnpike was robbed in the early morning hours of March 29 with the suspect displaying a handgun and stole an unknown amount of money, plus packages of cigars and cigarettes. For more details, click here.
East Meadow
  • Sometime between March 22 and March 23, the rear window of a car parked on Newbridge Road was broken.
  • On March 23, Gagandeep Singh, 19, of Hicksville was arrested after he allegedly displayed a fake FBI identification card while conducting a vehicle stop in East Meadow.
Wantagh
  • A woman on Woodward Avenue in Wantagh reported to police on March 12 that someone used her credit cards to make unauthorized purchases.
  • A vehicle parked on Carrollton Avenue in Wantagh was discovered scratched on March 22.
