Crimes Nearby: Man Drives Drunk With Baby in Car; Cars Damaged

A look at recent crime in the surrounding areas.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports and the Second Precinct Crime and Arrests report. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.  

Wantagh/Seaford

· A Brooklyn man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly drove drunk with a baby in the car and was involved in a two-vehicle crash on the Southern State Parkway, cops said. Click here for more.

· Sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Aug. 19, a bike cable was cut and a bike was stolen while it was at Wantagh High School.

· Sometime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 16, someone put glue in the locks of Astoria Federal Savings Bank on Wantagh Avenue.

· On Aug. 18 at 2:55 a.m., Elissa Lebron, 42, of Howard Beach, was arrested at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Wantagh Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

·  Before 1:14 p.m. on Aug. 14, an unknown male shoplifted at 7-Eleven, located at 4020 Sunrise Highway in Seaford.

· Sometime between 5 p.m. on Aug. 15 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 16, a front door window was broken on Iona Street in Seaford.

·  Sometime between 9 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 18, black spray paint was painted over the headlights of a vehicle on Marvin Lane in Seaford. Another complainant found black spray down the driver's side of their vehicle.

Hicksville

- Sometime between August 13 at 11:30 p.m. and August 14 at 8:30 a.m., a GPS, CD player and stock stereo were stolen from a car on Newbride Road.

- On August 16 at 12:45 a.m., tires were slashed on a car on Tudor Road.

- Sometime between August 15 at 10 p.m. and August 16 at 9 a.m., a mirror was damaged on a car on Boulevard Drive.

- Sometime between August 15 at 10:30 p.m. and August 16 at 4 p.m., a car was damaged on Sunnyfield Road.

- Sometime between August 19 at 1:30 a.m. and 5 a.m., a GPS was stolen from a car on Ailling Street.

- Sometime between August 18 at 10 p.m. and August 19 at 4:45 a.m., cash was stolen from a car on Chestnut Street.

- Sometime between August 14 at 10 a.m. and 11:10 a.m., assorted jewelry was stolen on E. Marie Street.

- On August 12 at 12:01 a.m., jewelry and gold coins were stolen on Cantiague Lane.

East Meadow

· At 1:26 a.m. Aug. 10, a vehicle parked on Wilson Road had its windows broken and a GPS was removed.

·  Sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 9 and 7 a.m. Aug. 10, change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on School Street.

· On Aug. 7, at 6:38 p.m., a bike was stolen from Jake’s Steakhouse on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow.

· Sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 5 and 10 a.m. Aug. 6, an egg was thrown at a vehicle that was parked on Argyle Road, which caused damage.

· Sometime between 8 a.m. and noon Aug. 9, a vehicle’s window was broken while it was parked at East Meadow Bowl.

Bethpage

· Sometime between August 14 at 10:30 p.m. and August 15 at 8 a.m., a car was damaged on Hicksville Road.

·  On August 13 at 2 p.m., cash was stolen on Lexington Avenue.
